Business consulting for Singapore F&B SMEs

F&B runs on the thinnest margins in the economy, squeezed by manpower and rent. We help operators steady the numbers, systematise the kitchen and front-of-house, and build a model that can open the next outlet, part-funded by the EnterpriseSG EDG.

The pressures you know
What f&b SMEs are up against

Food and beverage is one of the hardest businesses to run in Singapore — thin margins, relentless manpower and rental pressure, and demanding customers. A concept can be full every night and still not make money if the unit economics and operations aren't right.

We help F&B operators get a real handle on cost of goods and labour, standardise how each outlet runs, and build the systems that make a second or third location possible without the founder in every kitchen.

Wafer-thin marginsFood cost, labour and rent leave little room, so small errors in pricing, portioning or waste decide whether an outlet is profitable.
Manpower cost & turnoverHard to staff and expensive to run, with quality often riding on a few key people in the kitchen and floor.
Operations that don't travelWhat works in one outlet lives in the founder's head, making a second location risky and inconsistent.

The 3S model, applied
How we help f&b businesses

The same arc we run for every SME, mapped to the realities of your industry. More on the 3S model →

01 Survivability

Fix the unit economics

Get clarity on cost of goods, labour and outlet-level P&L, and put controls in place so each location is genuinely profitable.

02 Sustainability

Systematise the operation

Standardise recipes, prep, service and rostering so quality and cost hold without the founder on site every shift.

03 Scalability

Build to open the next outlet

With a repeatable model, expand into new outlets or formats on a foundation that travels, rather than starting from scratch each time.

Every engagement starts with a free business diagnosis — no cost, no obligation. We tell you honestly where the business sits and whether the EDG can help fund the work.
Answers
F&B SMEs, answered

Common questions from owners in your industry, before the free diagnosis.

Do you work with F&B businesses?
Yes. F&B operators are among the Singapore SMEs Advanced Consultancy advises. The 3S model is applied to the realities of a thin-margin, manpower-heavy business.
Can the EDG fund an F&B consulting project?
Yes, for eligible SMEs. Business strategy, financial management, productivity and process projects fall within what the EnterpriseSG EDG is designed to support, up to 50% of qualifying cost. Advanced Consultancy handles the grant advisory and application.
We want to open a second outlet. Where do we start?
Usually with the unit economics and operations of the first outlet. The Sustainability stage makes the model repeatable and documented, so a second location is built on a proven system rather than the founder being everywhere at once.
