EnterpriseSG funding

The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), for Singapore SMEs.

The EDG is EnterpriseSG's grant that helps Singapore SMEs fund projects to upgrade, innovate and grow — including business consulting. Qualifying engagements can be part-funded up to 50%, and we handle the grant advisory and application end to end.

What is the EDG?
A grant for real business projects, not paperwork.

The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) is administered by Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG). It supports Singapore companies taking on projects that strengthen their core capabilities, innovate, or grow into new markets. Engaging a management consultant to build and implement a proper business strategy is one of the projects it can fund.

For eligible SMEs, the grant can cover up to 50% of qualifying project costs. The support level and scope are assessed by EnterpriseSG on each application — we scope the project so it maps cleanly to what the grant is designed to fund, then advise, document and submit it for you.

How much does the EDG fund?

Support is up to 50% of qualifying costs for SMEs. What actually gets approved depends on the project scope and your company's profile, and is confirmed by EnterpriseSG per application. We are deliberate about only positioning what the grant genuinely supports — no inflated promises.

What the EDG can fund
Three areas the grant supports

The EDG is structured around three pillars. Our work sits mainly in the first — building the strategy and capabilities a business needs to sustain and scale.

Core capabilities

Strategy & foundations

Business strategy development, financial management, human capital and process — the groundwork that makes a business stable and ready to grow. This is where most of our engagements sit.

Innovation & productivity

Work smarter

Projects that raise productivity or bring new processes, products or automation into the business, so the same team can do more without the strain.

Market access

Grow reach

Support for taking the business into new markets and channels, so growth isn't capped by a single customer base.

Not sure which pillar your project fits? That's exactly what the free diagnosis is for — we identify the right scope and tell you honestly whether the EDG is a fit before any paperwork begins.
How we handle it
Your EDG application, managed end to end

You focus on the business. We scope, document and submit — and ~100% of the applications we've submitted for SME clients have been approved.

1

Free business diagnosis

We review where the business stands, pinpoint priorities, and tell you honestly whether the EDG is a fit.

2

Scope the project

We shape a Business Strategy Development roadmap that maps cleanly to what the grant is designed to fund.

3

Advise & document

We prepare the application and supporting documentation — the paperwork you'd otherwise navigate alone.

4

Submit & support

We submit to EnterpriseSG, then deliver the work and stay with you for two years after the project.

Answers
EDG questions, answered honestly

What Singapore business owners ask us most about the grant, before the free diagnosis.

What is the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG)?
The EDG is a grant from EnterpriseSG that helps Singapore companies fund projects to upgrade their core capabilities, innovate, or grow into new markets. Engaging a management consultant to build and implement a business strategy is one of the projects it can support. For eligible SMEs it can cover up to 50% of qualifying costs, with the level assessed by EnterpriseSG per application.
How much of the cost can the EDG fund?
Up to 50% of qualifying project costs for SMEs. The exact support depends on the project scope and your company profile, and is confirmed by EnterpriseSG on each application. We scope the engagement so it maps to what the grant is designed to fund.
Am I eligible for EDG-supported consulting?
Typical eligibility is a business registered and operating in Singapore, with at least 30% local shareholding, more than 10 employees, and annual revenue above S$1 million. EnterpriseSG confirms eligibility at the application stage — we assess your specific position during the free business diagnosis and tell you honestly if it's a fit.
Do you handle the grant application for me?
Yes — end to end. We scope the project, prepare and document the application, and submit it to EnterpriseSG. Across the EDG applications we've submitted for SME clients, virtually all have been approved.
What kinds of projects does the EDG cover?
The EDG is structured around three pillars: Core Capabilities (business strategy, financial management, human capital, process), Innovation & Productivity, and Market Access. Our engagements sit mainly in Core Capabilities — building the strategy and foundations a business needs to sustain and scale.
